BEYOND CHAOS

Time beyond the known is called chaos

Greek cosmology

A little chaos drives us to react and to either explore the reality outside or in contrast to a state, time or place beyond the known or to move towards a reliable and familiar World.

This is such a challenging topic because in essence even the less adventurous people are thrown into chaotic situations and have to manage outcomes.

In the business world we are constantly moving beyond chaos into successful solutions.

We often talk about innovation, well innovation is moving from an idea for a product that never existed before and this means that every single day someone somewhere in the World is moving beyond chaos to create something that delivers a new space, a place and a object that entered the astonishing realm of our familiar world for the first time.

Architecture beyond chaos

I think in systems that is the way I am wired but a recent study done in Japan by a reputable doctor identified that up to seventy three percent of people have a brain that is like a spaghetti junction of neurone activation and those people are thinkers beyond chaos even if it feels to them that it is more difficult to find order.

We are all so different but so adaptable.

Adaptability in today’s world of hyper stimulation is one of the best leadership qualities to possess.

BEYOND CHAOS

Let us think about how chaotically delicious it is to bake a cake.

First you need to have all the ingredients and thereafter you need to manage that little chaos into a sequence.

Ingredients:

125 grams of butter

3 eggs

1 tea cup of sugar

1 1/2 tea cups of cake flour

1/2 a tea cup of a full cream milk

2 tea spoons of Royal baking powder, yeast.

1 tin of pineapple slices

1/2 a tea cup of sugar to melt into caramelised sauce

Method:

Beat the sugar and the butter vigorously until it turns into white, add the eggs do not separate the yolk from the egg white, full eggs, the cake flour with the yeast and add the milk interspersed with the flour and yeast not all at once at the end.

Now comes the melting of the sugar into the baking tin make sure that it is light in colour not too brown add the pineapple slices to the bottom of the tin and finally add the cake mixture.

Baking time depends on your oven but I would say at a temperature of 180 degrees centigrade it should take 25-35 minutes for a standard layer cake.

Tea cups

Now let me share my little chaos with you.

This recipe I wrote many years back when I was expecting my son.

I wrote in Portuguese and now I had to translate it to English.

There are some words that I had to think about because I made this cake many times but I had to define that the measure is a tea cup not a mug.

The word interspersed is really high English to say add the milk alternating with the flour and the yeast.

Finally I have to say that baking is soulful but your kitchen dusted in flour and sugar does call for an intervention back to order.

Your cake will look amazing when you take it out of the baking tin melted caramel and pineapple rings further decorated with cherries will make you smile and say I can live beyond chaos.
