Artistry is what best describes my curiosity for all art forms.

A wave of excitement bathes my mind and soul when I discover new expressions of art in design.

Custom design is liberally used to describe one of a kind kitchen ecosystems however thought and respect needs to be given to the materials and processes that transform engineered pieces into our contemporary living.

There isn’t one single element in your kitchen that is not engineered by nature or by human kind.

Feel the water cascading from your taps, feel it and think about where did it come from. A river perhaps or the rain, if you harvest it, or from some magnificent underground reservoir that through miles and miles travelled to your water point.

Mixers, faucets or humble taps are made of brass which main component is copper and they are styled by designers to deliver safe water to your home.

Copper is the sixty percent (60%) component of the material required to make a tap its chemistry code is Cu and the other forty percent (40%) is Zinc with the chemistry code Zn.

Did you ever think about your kitchen environment as chemistry.?

I have.

It is all chemistry.

The price of copper is going up by 30 to 40 percent this means that the price of brass taps is rising.

Identity in manufacturing

When these significant changes occur what normally happens is that designers and engineers look for new ways to satisfy demand.

A new era of stainless steel taps is now here.

FRESH. RELEVANT. INFORMED.

This is exciting and very relevant because from a macroeconomic perspective tap manufacturers will now create new ranges in stainless steel.

Sounds simple but it is not.

Stainless steel needs to be malleable enough to withstand shapes, corners, bends and deliver new designs that excite customers.

What is brilliant is that a new identity in the manufacturing world will introduce new technologies, new designs and new concepts.

AI will certainly play a role in augmenting the human experience through the aesthetic designs created by artists in this field.

The other important factor is that the brass versus stainless steel margins will be more efficient.

The kitchen ecosystem is made of your water source, your kitchen sink, your work station and all your kitchen appliances, counter spaces, cabinets and waste disposal systems.
