CARRIAGES TO CODE

The Pure and
Simple Truth is
Rarely Pure and
Never Simple

Oscar Wilde

The pure and simple truth is that I write for people that are leaders in the art of living.

The Industrial Revolution during which horses and engines were the energy that transformed our World is now fully invested in the digital revolution where AI is the macroeconomic power.

This revolution is not about horse power or processing power it is about imagination.

My true essence is curious and intrigued by evolution that impacts our lives however my voice is one where there is an elegant blend of commerce and romance, intellect and intuition, metal and soul.

The poetic version of this essay — is still anchored in the macroeconomic truth, but written in the distinctive Trade Anthology voice, where technology meets emotion and progress meets poetry.

AI THE NEW OIL

There was a time when the world moved to the slow, rhythmic sound of hooves.

Cities shimmered with the breath of horses, and the scent of hay mingled with iron.

Carriages were not just transport — they were a choreography of patience, precision, and human touch.

Then came the spark of a different rhythm.

Engines coughed, then roared.

Steel replaced muscle, gasoline replaced grass, and the world began to spin faster.

Within decades, the carriage was a memory, the blacksmith’s hammer replaced by the hum of factories, and the map of life itself redrawn by the motor road.

Now, that same invisible tremor moves through our age again.

Only this time, it isn’t steel and fuel that shift the world’s axis —

It is thought itself.

The hum is digital. The engine is invisible. The fuel is data.

Artificial Intelligence — a phrase that once sounded cold —

Now glows with the heat of human longing.

It writes poems, paints portraits, designs kitchens, predicts desire.

It whispers to us that progress can have elegance,

That logic can live beside beauty,

That innovation can be the new form of intimacy.

In this new world, business and art are no longer opposites.

A sink’s curve, a fabric’s drape, a room’s light — all may be guided by an algorithm that has learned the patterns of our emotion.

And yet behind every line of code, there is still a pulse — a human one.

This is not the end of romance.

It is its rebirth —

An age where data dreams,

and technology learns to feel.

Just as the engine once replaced the horse but carried forward the same hunger for movement,

AI replaces no one — it carries our hunger for meaning.

It invites us to design, to question, to lead with both precision and poetry.

The future will not be won by machines alone,

but by those who know how to make them beautifully human.

Because the next revolution is not about horsepower or processing power —

It is about imagination.

And imagination, when refined by intelligence, becomes the new oil.

In business there is a new global eco system of governance that mitigates the risks and creates frameworks.

Visit the UNESCO, OEDC and WEF websites to educate yourself and your people on the opportunities and regulations that AI presents.

In your home expect technology to improve your quality of life as designers will create new products that will be not only functional but beautiful.

Art of living is about a pure simple truth, artificial intelligence is driven by a human pulse.
