Dance is one of the deepest meditations possible
OSHO
Whilst I work, I work in silence.
Music and poetry are such divine gifts to me that I have to be fully present when I listen to either of these human expressions of beauty.
The occasional bird sings in the distance and often the muffled African voices of people talking or singing whilst they work filters through my open windows.
WHISPERED VOICES
African women and men love to sing whilst they work often it sounds like a whisper of ancient melodies and legends, still untold.
UNTAMED VOICES
In heavy duty jobs in the mines of South Africa the men create a rhythm with their voices that punctuate when they have to push or pull machinery into the depths of the Earth. They form a human chain of energy, sweat and song.
The power of their bodies and the strength of their voices vibrates in the air long after they stop their labour.
It is deeply moving to witness what hard labour looks like day after day when the labourers do it for the love of their country, their families and their honour in being miners.
Hard core work with songs of encouragement.
SOUND OF ROBOTS AND STEEL
.

I curate ranges of kitchen sinks for multiple retail stores and the manufacturing of kitchen sinks falls into the heavy metallurgical industry.
I treat every kitchen sink as a conquest made by the human body and its spirit in not only using their hands and their power to create one sink but I also pay homage to the workers adaptability in working as an human extension of the many robots in the factory.
They don’t work in silence.
Silence is a privilege that many people in their working lives do not have.
ELEVATED VOICES
I truly believe that authentic marketing campaigns need to move beyond the glamour of luxury brands with their flawless beauty and high-end lives and be reframed around the earthy materials that are used to create everyday products and to concentrate on the super humans that work as craftsmen and designers to deliver thousands of kitchen sinks.
I would love to develop a campaign called a day in the life of a kitchen sink.
The clients would buy the sink because they fall in love with the product and it’s raw story not the price and they would sing, dance and meditate whilst they cooked their meals. This is what it takes to elevate a product, not speak about a commoditised mindless process but instead tell a human story of grit and investment.
DANCE IS ONE OF THE DEEPEST MEDITATIONS POSSIBLE.
