THE HORSE OF HOPE

What do you think is a sign of strength ?
Gentleness, said the Horse

Charlie Mackesy The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse

We are a couple of days away from Christmas, my most favourite time of the year, not because my child within delights in seeing every scintillating detail but because it gives me time to embrace a spirit of gratitude.

I invite all creatives to let their imagination run wild and bring to life every whimsical detail of what their infinite potential can create.

Actually if I had thought about it earlier it would have been great to launch a creative competition within the followers current and new to submit their best ideas for Christmas.

Let us consider how to do this for next year.

I will start now engaging with my many creative friends to find out if it is a good idea.

A gallery of beautiful images is a fine way to get your inspiration going!

I wish all human beings Peace on Earth

The World in 2024 descended into political turmoil and conflict and this coupled with devastating climate change events appeared to be Apocalyptic.

The resilience of man kind was put to the test time and again and I suspect that we will enter into 2025 with no saviour other than God.

Despite all the trials and tribulations we have all witnessed phenomenal acts of kindness.

The rescue teams that worked tirelessly to save many lives and animals in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, you have my deepest gratitude for all that you did.

My heart also went to Spain and to India for the devastation that they experienced.

The teams that had to fight fires in the Northern part of Portugal in September with the worst day being on the 17th of September when the fires were only 5 kms away from my friend’s factory… I honour you.

A divine hand protected them.

Merry Christmas to all sentient beings on Earth

The tradition to sit around a table to celebrate Christmas is one that is cherished in many parts of the World.

Preparing your home and your Christmas lunch is a family affair.

In Portugal the tables at pastelarias which are much more than pastry shops, have their shelves laden with the most delicious and varied temptations.

My ancestral roots are Portuguese and at Christmas, even living in South Africa, many of the desserts and traditional dishes are part of my Christmas menu.

It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas…

They are Bolo Rei, Cod Fish with black pitted olives and the decadent Pudim Abade dos Priscos.

May be next year my Christmas will be in Portugal, it is simply irresistible.

I leave you with the suggestion that if you are looking for a timeless present buy the extraordinary gift of inspiration by sending someone the book The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse.

If you are looking for the most beautiful Christmas music get the Christmas album of the Pentatonix award winning Group.

My favourite is The Prayer Official Video on YouTube.

Have a Gentle Season.
