Warriors of Change

When a New Year begins I always feel a heightened sense of responsibility for what I write.

The World is at its most tumultuous right now.

Unprecedented and catastrophic climate events are making us feel unsafe. More than ever create a safe home.

Against a landscape of multiple wars and economic adversity we have to be fearless and gentle.

We are poetry in human bodies and all of us no matter where we are in the World need to pull together and through unity make the impossible, possible.

The fashion industry inspires me ardently because irrespective of what the adverse business environment is, this industry keeps on launching their ranges season after season. They invest, create and deliver.

Be a thinker.

I feel in my logical and intuitive mind that we need to cleanse ourselves of all that is a distraction and embrace our bravest most powerful and greatest selves.

Not just for us individually but collectively .

We have to transform ourselves and adapt to new realities in order to influence others.

Still, I urge you to be a gentle woman in business, your softness is a super power.

She is real, she’s deep.
She is logical and mystical.
She believes in kindness and oneness 
and romance and magic.
She is sensitive and distant,a warrior, a lover.
She believes in road trips to the stars
and dancing with the universe.
She is fearless and gentle,wondrous and brave.
She lives in waterfalls and forests
and sunsets and galaxies.
She’s the artist, the thinker, the poem and the dream.

There is a lot to do. The Year 2024 has just started and we have to find new maritime routes to transport goods due to the attacks on the cargo ships by Yemen.

International navigational rights are being violated.

The oil price has already increased by 4% and Natural Gas by around 3%. This will impact manufacturing negatively as energy costs increase and the consumer will see increases in the prices of their goods.

In my sector, which is to source beautifully engineered kitchen sinks from Europe, the price increases have been held for a little while to give my retailers an opportunity to stock up before the real effect of the Suez Canal disturbances is positively politically managed, we’re hopeful. If not this conflict is not resolved there will be an escalation of the present hostilities and prices will ramp up rapidly.

I believe that new strategies and change management will open new mystical and wondrous paths.
