Until the Lion learns how to write, every story will glorify the Hunter
African Proverb
I was born in a Tea Estate in Africa, the eldest daughter of my parents.
Four years later, my beautiful sister Stella was born.
The art of telling stories was part of our family life.
My cultural heritage was and is made of a rich history of European settlers that became African pioneers that had left Europe, often to become Administrators appointed by the Portuguese Government to some far flung post in the middle of nowhere, in Mozambique or otherwise they were men and women that had a deep sense of adventure and left their Motherland in order to find better lives.

They found what they were looking for.
Untamed Savannah, beautiful beaches, fertile land, beautiful people with warm innocent smiling faces and unchartered trails.
The mineral resources, the abundance of water and the diversity of its natural environment was a dream.
Yes, of course, if you saw the film Out of Africa with the fabulous Meryl Streep you will know what I am taking about.
Endless African Stories were told by the fire on nights full of stars.
That is the heritage that I am proud of.

Our homes were always open to host one more guest.
Beautiful verandas were a feature of colonial architecture.
The colours were neutral in tones of sand, stone, sage and taupe.
The furniture was handmade with precious woods from the land and the light was soft and hazy often diffused by candles in a candelabra.
Romantic Africa. Raw and Pure.
Food was plentiful with an abundance of exotic tropical fruits and at the coast delicious seafood infused with coconut and spices.

Cultural heritage for me is all about worshiping the land were I was born.
Collect moments, stay connected to your dreams and make your homes beautiful havens of wellness.
