Emotion and respect in manufacturing

Respect is one of the greatest expressions of love.

I had the opportunity to visit, last week, a manufacturer of stainless steel sinks that with impressive courage and wisdom, invested on an expansion program of millions of Euros in order to transform a family business into a factory that uses state of the art technology and now exports to sixty countries.

I witnessed what leadership and hard work, in a post pandemic environment, can deliver. They have strength and determination.

It was particularly emotionally charged for me, to see men and women complementing the work of robots and with their sweat and their energy make a kitchen sink.

My respect and sense of responsibility for a kitchen sink is imprinted in my mind as labor of love.

Well done to all the artisans and the executives of this company in Portugal.
