The psychology of colour is fascinating.
The science that reads the conscious and subconscious choices made by clients is called the psychology of Interior Design.
Recently, I came across a post by Susanna Smith that enriched me greatly.
Find her on Instagram @abodiology or abodiologyart with #morethanwhatyousee #makepositivechange
She is an interior design psychologist, an artist and an interior designer.
This essentially means that she is on a level of professionalism that is brilliant.
It was transformational for me to think about change management in interior design, the Maslow Pyramid of needs, neurological engagement principles or trauma and psychological care strategies. Susanna makes reference to these business tools that must be applied to Interior design.
I found this to be the perfect mixture of art and science that creates a solid alchemy of business mind and artistic know how.
Interior Designers are curators of beautiful things however they often work across many disciplines so that they find solutions for a better quality of Life.
Colours have a unique and profound meaning

In the kitchen architecture field, there is so much more that needs to be considered.
Spacial and functional aspects are different for each client and the actual kitchen is not just a show case environment but it is an area where meal preparation and kitchen organizing systems work in harmony.

Emerald Green and Cream are mystical
I love Portuguese desserts and to inspire you to go beyond the ice cream with chocolate sauce try these!

Molotoff with ovos moles, upside down pear tarte, delicious flan pudding and “barquinhos de ovos moles”. Ovos moles is a traditional recipe from the Convents of Pòrtugal….eggs and lots of sugar.

On the pyramid of needs of Maslow the first need is shelter and food.
I hope that I have renewed your interest in exploring your home.
The colours that you choose are often a reflection of how you feel emotionally.
