Human beings are good at recognizing patterns. Our conscious or even subconscious mind identifies as beautiful something that follows a sequential representation.

I often look at proportions in nature,in the shape of the human body, in architecture and in the design of clothes, the natural petals of flowers and object d’art and find that what seems more perfect is whatever is created using appealing balanced, measured forms, that are pleasing to the eye but that perform a function that makes our lives easier and more comfortable.
The awakening that I have had recently is that the aesthical balance of perfection is achieved through mathematical sequences that date back to Antiquity and to the “Secret code of Nature ” of Leonardo de Pisa, known as the Fibonacci sequence. He published his study in the Book of calculus in 1202. *Source Archdaily team Brasil.”
I always knew that exact sciences are the foundation of many disciplines in the World of Manufacturing, Arquitecture and Interior Design but what is of particular interest is to appreciate that your home is built to exact specifications in order to combine all the elements of nature in perfect mathematical harmony so that everything in your home is aesthetically Balanced.
In my last blog, I wrote about Form and today we are exploring functionality through Balance.
A pair of gloves, a champagne glass, a chandelier and the kitchen architecture that you elect to buy, will all have a functional purpose.
So,when you buy something you already believe that you need it for a particular use , gloves, to adorn your hands, Chandelier to offer Crystal diffused light over your table or in the case of the kitchen you wanted a space where your meals are prepared efficiently, safely and elegantly.
The balance between Form and Function is essential.
Yes, of course, your dishwasher is not for your gorgeous cocker spaniel…he thought it was!
Balance is the attainment of optimal functional conditions
