IMAGINE

Cities are considered as high density cement forests and until very recently this honeycomb of skycrappers that cut into the night skies like spears of light were considered as the ultimate luxury. There is a new consciousness arising that creates walk ways of nature trails that cut through the various floors of a building. How amazing!.

Every city in the World aspires to have the highest building ever built as a sign of power, defiance of the laws of gravity and of course as an engineering and technological accolade.

Interestingly enough this is not the first time in history that the wealthy and powerful have asked architects and engineers to create castles, towers and hanging gardens in order to impress their peers and other mere mortals, with their legacy.

Admittedly, I still marvel at many of the old and the new Icons of Architecture and very much revere the vision, the audacity and the lifetime achievements of all the men and women that created sacred places of design luxury.

Luxury is difficult to define because some indiduals seek the ornate and some worship simplicity of lines.

I admire both when the execution is considered and tasteful.

The trend emerging now is very much about bringing nature into your building or your home as the natural elements soften the characteristics of an urban jungle.

Spacial concepts are designed with an awareness that this new World, post pandemic, needs quality of life with gardens, trees, lakes, waterfalls and walking areas being at the centre of their lifestyle.

More green spaces, more oxygen, more consciousness.

In your kitchen you can start by creating your own herb garden. Plant olive trees in pots.Grow chillies. Plant lemon trees.

I imagine a better World were we all become more self sufficient and we teach as many people as possible to touch the Earth with love and respect.

Imagine that everything is possible!

The World is diverse and beautiful let us enjoy our new found freedom
