Solitude creates quietness and during these unprecedented times we have had time to think about what is important.
So,this time we will reflect upon what changed. We went from a life of living constantly at a frenetic pace, outside of our homes, into months of being simply at Home.
Bliss, could be one word that describes how we reconnected with our space.
The reality is that we are experiencing great paradigm shifts, working from home is good but we miss our routine and our friends at the office. We are writing more than we are talking. New technologies like Zoom Rooms and e-commerce platforms are exploding.
Uncertainty and negative economic forecasts keep us anxious.
We have had to adapt and may be this is the New World.
Life is back to its little treasures. The power of One, as my son Paul predicted, is here right now.
We play with our dogs, we cook at home, we learn new skills and we reconnect with each other by spending time together.
When you look around at your house now, that you have had to stay in it for so long, I am sure that you have a renewed appreciation for every room in it.
Fresh
The Kitchen was, I have no doubt, the most used space.
We never thought that one day we would not be able to go to a restaurant or go and buy our favourite wine. Amazing, but true.
I do believe that home chefs flourished, as they explored new recipes. I started writing a recipe book that is a collection of all the recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation. I will create a new page on my website trade-anthology.com and publish some of our family favourites.
I am so grateful to all the exceptional cooks that have been and some still are part of my life.

During lockdown, I missed my beautiful spaniel, Ashley, desperately, now that he is in dogs heaven.
